Gli individui con intelligenza superiore non sono definiti solo come coloro che ottengono un punteggio elevato in un test di intelligenza, ma devono essere presi in considerazione anche altri fattori che influenzano gli individui, come i fattori sociali, ambientali e di personalità che insieme definiscono una persona dotata. Questi fattori includono l’ansia e il benessere psicologico. L’ansia è la reazione emotiva alla percezione di un pericolo o di una minaccia, che si origina attraverso un insieme di risposte legate al sistema cognitivo. Attualmente l’ansia colpisce molte società e può quindi influenzare e condizionare il benessere psicologico degli esseri umani. È possibile sostenere che esiste una relazione tra il livello di intelligenza di un individuo e questi fattori emotivi come l’ansia e il benessere psicologico? Lo scopo di questa ricerca è confrontare le seguenti variabili: intelligenza, ansia e benessere psicologico in un campione di adolescenti con intelligenza superiore e media. I risultati di questa ricerca forniscono un contributo alla società e alla psicologia.
