Был проведен теоретический обзор по данной теме и предпринята попытка понять через рассуждения двух женщин-педагогов, занимающихся гендерными исследованиями и работающих в сфере дошкольного образования, их представление о возможностях и роли сказок в этой дискуссии. Были выделены значения, придаваемые педагогами дошкольного образования, которые имели более целенаправленный контакт с гендерными отношениями в сказках, выявлены и представлены основные гендерные репрезентации, содержащиеся в классических сказках. В ходе интервью с педагогами мы попытались выяснить, почему важно думать о гендере, начиная с детского сада, и какой вклад вносят сказки в эти дискуссии. С одной стороны, мы проанализируем, как сказки играют роль в социальной жизни детей и как они могут быть намеренно использованы учителями для обсуждения этой темы.
