Philipp Scheidemann (1865-1939) war ein deutscher sozialdemokratischer Politiker und Publizist. Während der Novemberrevolution im Jahre 1918 verkündete Scheidemann mit den Worten: ´´Es lebe das Neue; es lebe die Rebublik!´´, den Zusammenbruch des Deutschen Kaiserreichs.
