Niniejsza publikacja analizuje związek między postrzeganym wsparciem społecznym, PCS (postrzeganiem satysfakcji z komunikacji) oraz zdrowiem fizycznym i psychicznym mężczyzn pracujących jako radiolodzy w prywatnych i publicznych szpitalach w Kalkucie. W ramach prostego losowego doboru wybrano 60 radiologów - po 30 z prywatnych i publicznych szpitali. Badanie miało charakter ex post facto, znany również jako badanie korelacyjne. Wykorzystano następujące narzędzia: kwestionariusz wsparcia społecznego (Sarason, I. G., Sarason, B. R., Shearin, Pierce, 1987), kwestionariusz postrzegania satysfakcji z komunikacji (Hecht, 1978), skrócony kwestionariusz zdrowia zawierający 12 pytań (Ware J Jr., Kosinski ,Keller,1996) oraz kwestionariusz zdrowia psychicznego (Ware, J.E, i The Rand Corporation, 1979).
