Untersucht werden die Markteffizienz und die Zusammenhänge zwischen Finanzmarktdynamik und iTraxx Europe der Aktienmärkte Südosteuropas (SEE). Ziel dieser Studie ist es daher, die Frage zu beantworten, ob es einen Unterschied zwischen der Aktienmarktperformance der entwickelten und der aufstrebenden SEE-Kapitalmärkte gibt. Wir verwenden das GARCH-Modell, den Granger-Kausalitätstest und die Korrelationsanalyse, um die Renditen des iTraxx Europe und die täglichen Renditen von fünf SEE-Aktienmarktindizes - Bulgarien, Kroatien, Slowenien, Türkei und Rumänien - für den Zeitraum nach der Finanzkrise von 2008 zu untersuchen. Die Ergebnisse zeigen, dass die SEE-Kapitalmärkte mit Ausnahme von Bulgarien und Slowenien nicht effizient im Sinne der Effizienzmarkthypothese (EMH) sind. Darüber hinaus beeinflusst der iTraxx Europe die Finanzmarktdynamik der Aktienindizes in Südosteuropa. Die Analyse zeigt, dass der iTraxx Europe eine Granger-Kausalität für die Aktienmarktrenditen aufweist, wobei die kausalen Beziehungen zwischen den Aktienmarktrenditen und dem iTraxx Europe weniger signifikant sind.
