This is Volume 1 of 'Zollvereinigungs-vertrag Zwischen Württemberg Und Bayern Einerseits Und Preußen, Den Beiden Hessen, Sachsen Etc. Andererseits, Nebst Zoll-cartel, Zoll-ordnung Und Zoll-tarif: Nachtrag,' a historical document concerning the German Customs Union (Zollverein). This volume contains the treaty between Württemberg and Bavaria on one side, and Prussia, Hesse, Saxony, and others on the other. It includes the Customs Cartel, Customs Regulations, and Customs Tariff. The Zollverein was a coalition of German states formed in the 19th century to manage customs and economic policies within their territories. Organized by Prussia, it expanded to include most of the German states by 1866. It is considered the first major instance in history in which independent states consummated a full economic union without the simultaneous creation of a political federation or union. This work has been selected by scholars as being culturally important, and is part of the knowledge base of civilization as we know it.
