This book is about a group of teenagers, who enjoyed life and the friendship that they had amongst each other. They shared, fun times, their loves and disappointments. For many of these teens, they were not out to find who they were, but they wanted to enjoy life in its fullness. They lived in a time when many of their classmates older brothers and even some sisters were going to war. The draftwas something real and as they and their adventurous spirits. This same spirits is what fueled many of the antics they did. The name of the game was to have fun, in and out of school. At school, we believed you could have as much fun at school as could any where else. So often this fun ended up, in them getting into trouble, which in many cases, lead to detention after school and being grounded at home. Never once did they get expelled but they did get licks with the paddle by a teacher or the principle. These antics were often on the spur of the moment. Every once in a while, things did get planned, if they did it was going to be something big, like wrapping the police station. Most of the teens in these stories were 14 to 17 years of agenda they were as close as any family could be. They shared food, clothes, parents, carsand mostof all they shared the deepest feelings in their hearts. As they grew up, each married, and soon they found themselves losing that free spirit and the fun loving time they had in their lives. Those who are still alive sit around and remember the old times. Always talking about putting it on paper, but never finiding the time. I have learned that so much is lost by not taking the time to put it on paper. memories fail and people pass away. This is why the book Young Times has come about. So these time of a few fun loving teens won’t be lost, and so people will know, to be young and have a fun loving sprit doesn’t mean you have to be violent, distructive, or deadly. For those who buy this book and read about these teens, just remember the stories are true. Some things may have been left out accidentlly or may not be remembered exactly as some of the others would remember it, but they are true to the best of my knowledge. I hope you enjoy this book.
