You Can Still Rise is a collection of poems that the Lord gave me to minister to my own soul as I struggled with the ever present lure and temptation of drug abuse. Being a former drug addict there are times when the enemy continues to harrass me in my mind and circumstances. God knows those areas where I struggle and where I need encouragement. I began to share some of my writing with friends who were in turn encouraged. It was suggested that I put these writings in a book. So, here it is.If you or someone close to you struggles with the sin of drug addiction, I’m sure these poems will speak to your soul and touch your heart. These poems will encourage you and reveal the heart of God who is our source of hope. No matter where you are, what you’ve done or how many times you fall... God loves you and in that love is the hope, the mercy, the grace that makes it possible for you to rise again.
