AFTER ADOLF HITLER TOOK OVER, HER FATHER, BEING JEWISH EMIGRATED TO AMERICA. UNDER THE NAZI’S RACIAL LAWS YOLA WAS DESTINED FOR THE CONCENTRATION CAMPS BUT ESCAPED BY HIDING. NINE YEARS LATER IN 1947 THE FAMILY WAS REUNITED IN THE USA. SHE WAS MARRIED IN 1948 AND TOGETHER WITH HER HUSBAND SAM LEFT FOR GERMANY IN 1959, WHERE THEY WORKED AS MISSIONARIES TILL HER HUSBAND’S DEATH IN 1985. SHE RETURNED TO CALIFORNIA. THREE YEARS LATER SHE WAS INVITED TO START A NEW WORK IN GERMANY. SHE DIVIDES HER TIME BETWEEN CALIFORNIA AND KOBLENZ, GERMANY, DOING WHAT SHE LIKES BEST, SHARING THE GOOD NEWS WITH SEARCHING AND HURTING PEOPLE.
