Mustaqillik yillarining dastlabki kunlaridan boshlab sho`rolar davri adabiyotini qayta o`rganish, jumladan shoirlar va yozuvchilar bo`yicha adolatsizliklarni bartaraf etish masalalari kun tartibiga qo`yilgan. Fitrat, S. Ayniy, Olim Sharafiddinov va yana o`nlab shoirlar va yozuvchilar ijodini milliy mustaqillik va milliy mafkura manfaatlari nuqtayi nazaridan qayta o`rganishga kirishildi. Endi bu materiallarni yangicha qarashlar asosida o`rganish, umumlashtirish o`zbek adabiyotshunosligining dolzarb masalalaridan biri bo`lib turibdi. Bizning monografiyamiz ham aynan mana shu dolzarb masalani o`rganishga bag`ishlangan.
