Russian hackers use ransomware to extort millions from an American company owned by a Chicago organized crime group. Already angered by a previous hacking attack that stole from his aging mother, the mob leader sets out on a path to recover the ransomed millions and wreck revenge. Using intelligence gathered by his daughter, he works to get the hackers out of Russia and into his hands. After a carefully planned months-long effort, he achieves this. Unfortunately, this sets in motion a cascade of events that spins out of his control, leading to a geopolitical collision between America and Russia. The storm he creates ultimately has unforeseen consequences for the mobster and his family.Hamilton’s background and many years of experience working in the international arena bring this action-driven novel to life.G.
