Niniejsze badanie analizuje zakres spożycia alkoholu w miejscu pracy w Wagadugu, stolicy Burkina Faso, w 2014 roku. Przy częstości występowania 65,14% wśród pracowników, spożycie alkoholu jest znacznie wyższe niż w populacji ogólnej. Wyniki pokazują, że na spożycie alkoholu wpływa szereg czynników zawodowych, takich jak stres, obciążenie psychiczne i trudne warunki pracy. Ma to znaczące konsekwencje zdrowotne, zawodowe i ekonomiczne, w tym zwiększoną absencję, zmniejszoną produktywność i zwiększone ryzyko wypadków w miejscu pracy. Sytuacja ta podkreśla brak odpowiedniej polityki prewencyjnej w kraju, w przeciwieństwie do innych krajów.
