Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2015 im Fachbereich Germanistik - Linguistik, Note: 1,7, , Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Schon kleine Kinder ohne ausgeprägten Wortschatz machen sich das Prinzip der Wortbildung zunutze, indem sie neue Wörter „erfinden', wenn ihr Lexikon an seine Grenzen stößt. Aus diesem Grund ist es wenig verwunderlich, dass der Bedarf an Neuwörtern auch in der heutigen Zeit längst nicht gedeckt ist, „da die geistig-sprachliche Auseinandersetzung mit der vielseitigen und veränderlichen Wirklichkeit weitergeht' (Erben 2006: 21). Bei der Wortbildung werden nicht direkt Fantasiewörter gebildet, sondern Neues aus vorhandenem Sprachmaterial zusammengesetzt, um erst den individuellen und später auch den gesamtdeutschen Wortschatz zu erweitern.Für den Prozess der Bildung neuer Wörter stehen dem Sprecher fünf verschiedene Arten zur Verfügung: Komposition, Derivation, Kurzwortbildung, Neumotivierung und das Wortspiel, wobei Komposition und Derivation als produktivste Prozesse der Wortbildung gesehen werden.Die vorliegende Hausarbeit beschäftigt sich mit dem Wortbildungsprozess der Komposition. Dabei werden sowohl die verschiedenen Haupttypen als auch die wichtigsten Wortklassen behandelt, aus denen Komposita gebildet werden. Den Schluss bildet eine kurze Betrachtung der Jugendsprache.
