Words from the Heart has a unique way of capturing the very essence of an over comer. Beverly, through her writing, releases strength, hope and the possibility of breakthrough throughout her journal. While reading this book it is easy for one to feel as though they are having a fireside chat with the Heavenly Father concerning the condition and position of one’s heart.Excellent job! Pastor Delores BellReformation Ministry Dear Sister Beverly, Words from the Heart is going to touch the lives of all that read your book. God has seen your tears and felt the core of your being as you’ve written truly 'from your heart' it shall bring deliverance and set the captives free because of your obedience. I loved all of the poems and words of exhortation, but especially the poem on Daddy as the ministry God has given me 'Mothers Informing Mothers', is the essence of mothers being delivered after sadly experiencing the pain of being without their fathers. If men would only understand and feel the heartbeat of God, on how they the fathers validate their daughters, and yes, their sons too, how the curse of abandonment would cease generations to come. Jesus does want us to be made whole and rest in his arms, so that we will no longer be afraid of those who have hurt us, mainly the absence of a Daddy. It’s so much easier to fill the void we’re all born with, accepting Jesus when we’ve experienced accepting and loving a natural father here on earth. So my sister, go forth in the name of Jesus, and share with the world words from your heart as God gives it to you. God Bless you! Evangelist Delores R. ‘There’s a touch of both Dickinson and Larkin in Jennifer Chrystie’s mature exhumation of the tales and tropes of family. Figures who could so easily flit like phantoms in her well honed poetry are palpably enjoying an after-life in the poet’s ability to redeem through deep understanding. The collection arcs from, at one extreme, the parsimonies of the household, to the transce...

    Edward V Bonner
The very title of Edward V. Bonner's first volume of poetry, One Kiss (Ingram, 2015), suggests some ways in which the poems inside balance the universal with the particular. Most of the poems examine the themes of beauty and risk, pleasure and danger, in the context of one of three kinds of relationships: to romantic partners, to the spiritual world, and to the world of nature....

  • The Truth about A

In his interpretation of Antigone, Seamus Heaney says, ‘Nobody can be sure they are always right.’ Maureen O’Shaughnessy’s The Truth about A further attends to this idea through various readings of the myth as portrayed by Sophocles, Brecht, Ted Hughes, Anne Carson and, most particularly, Euripides.
