These are poems I culled from the many poems I wrote startingin the 1960’s and continuing well into my sixth decade of life.My biggest influence I would have to say was Rod McKUEN whowas, for me at least, a respite from the dull and tiresome poemsI was forced to read in high school. Once I got comfortable withreading poems written in my own hand, the pleasure of readingpoems by others, even some of those obligatory to read in highschool became more palatable and even inspiring. I would bepleased if this volume were to inspire a likewise inducement forsomeone to know the pleasure of creating a poem of their ownto be kept and enjoyed over and over.
