Die Autoren, Mitglieder des Ausschusses für Wirtschaftsethik der Allgemeinen Gesellschaft für Philosophie in Deutschland, stellen die Frage, wo die Philosophie in der Wirtschaftsethik bleibt. Sie zeigen, daß die Philosophie den entscheidenden Beitrag zur Entwicklung der wirtschaftsethischen Theoriebildung leistet, jedoch die interdisziplinäre Integration mit der ökonomischen Theorie und die institutionelle mit den wirtschaftswissenschaftlichen Fakultäten noch vorantreiben muß. Die Beiträge des Buches zeigen exemplarisch die Leistung der Philosophie für die Wirtschaftsethik auf. Sie lassen erwarten, daß in der künftigen Theorieentwicklung die Wirtschaftsphilosophie als weitere Teildisziplin der Philosophie neben die Staatsphilosophie, die Sozialphilosophie und die Rechtsphilosophie treten wird.
