Ziel der vorliegenden Untersuchung war es, die antidiabetische Wirkung von Silbernanopartikeln aus Vitex negundo-Blattextrakt zu bewerten. In diesem Experiment wurden der Vitex negundo-Blattextrakt, Vitex negundo AgNp und die Kombination aus Vitex negundo-Blattextrakt und Glibenclamid vergleichend auf ihre antidiabetische Wirkung sowie auf ihre Auswirkungen auf verschiedene biochemische und antioxidative Parameter untersucht. Das Pflanzenmaterial und das Pflanzenpulver für diese Studie wurden im botanischen Garten des Instituts für Veterinärpharmakologie und -toxikologie gesammelt. Der methanolische Extrakt wurde mit Hilfe eines Soxhlet-Apparates aus dem Vitex negundo-Blattpulver hergestellt und anschließend in einem Behälter für die weitere Verwendung aufbewahrt. Die phytochemische Analyse des methanolischen Blattextrakts von Vitex negundo wurde ebenfalls durchgeführt. Der Extrakt aus den Blättern von Vitex negundo wurde als Reduktionsmittel für die Herstellung von Silbernanopartikeln (AgNPs) mittels einer grünen Synthesemethode verwendet. Bei der Synthese wurde der Vitex negundo-Blattextrakt mit einer Silbernitratlösung gemischt und die Mischung erhitzt, um AgNp-Präzipitate zu erhalten, die anschließend charakterisiert wurden.
