At the onset of the twenty-first century we find ourselves, as American Christians, living in a land of unprecedented wealth and prosperity. We also have a Christian heritage that is unlike any other country that has ever existed. Our Founders were able to craft a nation that was based largely on biblical principles. The result has been an economic engine that has led the planet in feeding the world, defending the world from tyranny and bringing freedom to much of it. Not only that, we have been able to do so, especially in the second half of the twentieth century, with little economic sacrifice on the part of American citizens. This new century brings another challenge to American Christians. God has placed the stewardship of immense wealth in our keeping. We have the means to fulfill God’s Great Commission and win the 21st century. Will we rise to the occasion? Don Nixon is a thirty-year veteran of Youth for Christ, having begun his career as a member of Southwest PA YFC/Campus Life ministry staff in Washington, PA (1976-84). He was the founding Executive Director of Metro-Pittsburgh YFC (1985-2000) and currently serves as Pennsylvania State Director for the Eastern States Region of YFC. Don graduated from Peters Twp. High School (McMurray, PA) in 1972 and the University of Pittsburgh in 1976. Don married the former Shileen Keszeg from Newport News, VA in 1983. They have two sons, Justin (19) and Austyn (14) and currently reside in McMurray, just outside of Pittsburgh, PA.
