The book 'Wingspread' is a summary of some aspects of American History. Mota, created the poems and in gratitude to America. The narratives of the book are vivid producing powerful feelings and clear images in the mind. It tells how our great society came into being, how and why it develops despite of wartime. The military, political social and economic circumstances that produced the America civilization in which we now live in -freedom. The book is a concise, easily understood summary of ideologies and political events that change the world. In clear and straightforward statements, it describes the historical setting and defines the principles and aims of Democracy. More than at any time in history this is the age of ideological struggle because of the treat of terrorism. This generation base on technology advance in computer science is likely to be driven to a decision within this generation. Wingspread is written for all ages. All the poems are political oriented included an epic poem to honor Major Sullivan Ballou for his sacrificed and love to preserve - the Union. Mota her husband and five children suffered a civil war in the Dominican Republic. She created a poem about the bloody events, and how the United States sent Marines to save Democracy.
