In 1333 an eighth child is born to the Master Trainer of Lord Kawasomeru’s power samurai army. It was said by the village seer the eighth child will become the most power samurai to have ever walked upon the soil of Japan. At the time of the birth the thought to be eighth child a male, turned out to be a female. At first the Trainer was going to put the child to death, but he was stopped by his wife who told him the child had the mark of the samurai on her wrist. This fact forced the trainer to make the female a great samurai and he paid special attention to her training, keeping the fact, she was a female from everyone, even the powerful warlord. The day of Gembuku arrived when the trainer had to introduce Wind to the warlord and it is discovered the thought to be he was a she and it caused an uproar with the male samurai but the warlord allowed her into his army and made her a general. She proved herself on the battlefield and carried out a special mission that forced the other warlord to come to terms with Kawasomeru and the Shogun ordered peace to happen between the two warlords. But the only way peace would be accepted by the other warlord, was if Kawasomeru put Wind to death. But death would not be the end of Wind as you will see in the last chapter of the novel Wind.
