Rose Marie’s story begins with her being raised by a single mother of fourteen children, her mother’s struggles and the impact of Rose not having her father in her life while growing up.This memoir is a true account of the struggles and hardships Rose Marie faced growing up in the hood with teen pregnancy, police brutality, and drug use. Unfortunately, throughout her adulthood she encounters issues with domestic violence, prison marriage, drug smuggling, sexual harassment and more.Rose Marie worked very hard to get out of the ghetto, and out of the welfare system. She graduated from college, finds what she thought was the job of her dreams and gives that job nine years of her life, and in return the job gives her the fight of her life. 3
