North and South Carolina coastal region historical fiction book about the Revolutionary War, the period Feb 1775 - April 1775. New author, Cecil Burton 'Burt' Jones is a retired US Army Reserve Lieutenant Colonel (LTC), who had a concurrent career as an Army Civilian Counterintelligence (CI) Agent. Recently retired after 32 years as a CI Agent, Mr. Jones saw multiple deployments to the Middle East, tours in Germany and Korea, and numerous inspection/operational trips to Central and South America. Mr. Jones has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Mississippi State University and a Juris Doctor in Law from the University of Mississippi. Upon graduation from law school, he worked as a staff attorney with Legal Services for eight years in Biloxi, Mississippi. While enrolled in the German Language Course at the Defense Language Institute in Monterey, California, Mr. Jones, then on active duty, was approached and recruited by Army Intelligence to work as an Army civilian counterintelligence agent. Not only is he a German linguist, he is also a graduate of the Army General Staff College, the Army Management Staff College and the Harvard Senior Fellows Executive program. He retired as a CI Agent in August 2019. Mr. Jones ran for Congress in the Texas 23rd Congressional District in 2020, but unfortunately lost in the in the primary. He has dedicated himself to continued service to the community through his work with the charity, Military Families and Survivors First, Inc. and is a part-time political commentator on social media platforms.
