A collection of flash horror with stories buried deep within the author’s mind and brought to life once again in this follow-up to City of Madness. White Static compiles Gehlert’s poems from his Substack account. Through therapy, everyday life, and his battle with his inner demons, these experiences come into full view.  Gehlert’s battle with relationships, drinking, depression, and turmoil has led to such visceral experiences and raw writing.Unofficially titled The Substack Papers, Gehlert has used this outlet to power through his therapy and release his world into ours. Some pieces are light and cheerful; others are darker and grimy. The kaleidoscope through which Gehlert views his life is clearly demonstrated within this compendium of work.
