Dit document als een boekwerk bundelt zes originele white papers, gepubliceerd in 2015, en één Engelstalige versie uit juli 2025, met een actuele synthese anno 2025.De white papers zijn destijds geschreven om de vele structurele tekortkomingen binnen de verschillende maatschappelijke en organisatorische domeinen bloot te leggen. Tien jaar later blijkt dat veel van deze inzichten en waarschuwingen nog steeds actueel zijn. De afsluitende synthese plaatst de oorspronkelijke teksten in de context van de huidige ontwikkelingen en bevestigt dat de kernkwesties grotendeels zijn blijven bestaan.Dat deze kwesties standhouden, impliceert niet slechts stilstand, maar een daadwerkelijke achteruitgang: een gemis aan de capaciteit om tot voortschrijdend inzicht te komen. Deze achteruitgang manifesteert zich subtiel: in beleidsdocumenten die de juiste taal spreken maar onvoldoende daden leveren, in organisaties die innovatie prediken maar intern oude hiërarchieën in stand houden, en in een publieke opinie die soms te snel tevreden is met cosmetische verbeteringen.
