Where’s Sancho I is the first in a series of plays which address contemporary issues faced by modern man; issues such as the seeming endless pockets of war worldwide or obscene righteousness or the emerging New Middle Age. This book contains two plays. The one act play (Beating Drum) is set in Roman times, given birth by Cicero’s and Julius Caesar’s writings, and ponders the reasons to go to war. Surprisingly, Roman and present day logic, excuses and reasoning are frightenly similar. The two act play (Two I’s) deals with the unintended consequences of government actions in creating things like the Patriot Act and Military Commissions Act. How far are they from Germany’s Enabling Act? Here, a veterinarian returns from an international meeting and is quickly declared a 'person of interest.' A writer, stockbroker, lawyer, and painter kibitz on the veterinarian’s dilemma from their detached view points and insights. The play ends with a perspective or alternate view on how things may be seen.

Stuart Evans’s first novel is a comedy-of-ill-manners set in a nouveau riche milieu: a fantastic satirical performance and hyper-referential homage to masters past and present. Paul Keller is the Stephen Dedalus of the piece, the son of Robert and Sylvie, whose internal monologue is spliced into the action, and whose incestuous feelings for his sister lead to an increase in his...

This playwright does it again with humor to excoriate our leader’s policies and their implications. To this end, Will Rogers is resurrected by using his delivery style to raise timely questions of the absurdities of new laws (and war) on American society. Will Rogers was more than a pundit; he was an entertainer with a political consciousness. In the 1920’s and 30’s, he was our...
