A Morticians’ Convention?Should be Fun - Unless it Turns Deadly It’s springtime in Mechanic Falls, and the Diamant Hills Conference Centre is hosting the regional morticians’ convention. Twin brothers, Willoughby and Amberly Thwackbottom, co-owners of the Diamant, are eager to showcase their bespoke casket liners to their former colleagues. Before the presentation begins, a bloodied corpse is revealed in their demo casket. A fortune in jewels is missing from the body and the twins may have seen the killers. Tori Marsh, Centre Manager, and Erik Gerard, Head of Security, realise a pair of contract killers is on site. But the camera system is down, and they can’t verify the identities. They assist the police to contain and reassure panicked guests, and to keep the twins from becoming the next victims. While Tori, Erik, and the twins stay one dangerous step ahead of the killers, each deal with their own personal demons and desires. But, one question unites them all. Where are the missing gems? And, why does the dark presence in the old wine cellar demand their attention. Is it their ally - or enemy?
