My greatest fear is members of the Christian community may be basing their eternal salvation on a prayer they once said, or, perhaps their attendance at a sports arena where they came down onto a grass infield and repeated what an individual on stage told them to say. OK, so what? Isn’t eternal salvation a gift given by our Loving Abba Father God by way of His great mercy and grace? YES! However, the nature of a gift is its presented and then received. God’s gift to the world is Jesus Christ. Did you choose not to receive God’s gift, or, did you receive it and place it on a shelf? When you take your last breath, your eyes will close, but only for a moment. And when you open them again standing in front of you in all His power and majesty will be the Savior of the world, Jesus Christ, the Son of God, God Himself. At this junction if your free will choice, prior to your death, was to not believe in Jesus Christ, then everything that precedes from that point on becomes moot, your eternal fate has already been determined. Now, what about the person who claimed they did believe, the one who proudly declared they had excepted the gift? What will that self-proclaimed Christian say when Jesus asks them, 'What did you do with the time I gave you?' Will they respond, 'I said a prayer once!' Will that be enough? What If?
