s a child, I grew up in church and even dedicated my life to full-time Christian service. I could not believe how far I was from that plan when I found myself divorced and with two grown children who had not been raised in church or even taught to know God. There was so much I should have taught them about what the Bible has to say concerning God’s plan and purpose for our lives. I should have shown them how the Bible is an instruction book to show us how to live. I should have told my children the stories of the men and women in the Bible and explained how those stories tell us about God’s love, provision and guidance. I should have introduced my children to God and given them a foundation for faith.I have written this book to tell the story of God’s plan from creation to the end times in a simple and easy to understand format. It identifies major biblical events and characters while sharing how these relate to life today. The book explains how to receive the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ and how to build a lasting personal relationship with God. This book is for my children and for anyone else who may want to understand the message of the Bible.

We’ve been duped into removing prayer from the center of our churches and have placed it on the periphery or semi-periphery.  What we’re witnessing today in our churches, and in society at large, is that legacy of prayerlessness.  Church leadership may be hesitant and embarrassed to admit it, but there is a direct correlation between our spiritual weakness and our lack of corpo...

If God is good, why do we get sick? When God created the world, He declared: "It is good." But then came the Fall, and with it sickness and death. In this heart-tugging monograph, Dr. Davis McGuirt draws from both his training in theology and the personal agony of watching his father die from cancer to provide a variety of biblical reasons for why we get sick. We are also remin...

We struggle with the fact that infants and young children die.  We struggle with the fact that life is hard and unjust.  If we are a child of God, we believe that we should live a blessed life and enjoy all the best that life has to offer. We cannot understand why God would allow such evil and destruction to take place in the world. The problem with our thinking is that we thin...
