Wissenschaftliche Studie aus dem Jahr 2009 im Fachbereich Filmwissenschaft, Note: 1,0, Merz Akademie - Hochschule für Gestaltung Stuttgart, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Doch um die surrealen Stilmittel in seinen Welten zu entdecken und zu verstehen, muss man vorerst frühe Werke und Arten dieser Epoche analysieren, um einen genauen Bezug herstellen zu können.Der Ursprung dieser Kunstart liegt nämlich nicht im Film, sondern entwickelte und manifestierte sich in Lyrik und Malerei. In dieser Hausarbeit sollen, durch Bezüge zu den frühen surrealistischen Künstlern und ihrem sehr eigenwilligen Stil, die verschiedenen Welten, in die David Lynch seine Zuschauer leitet, analysiert und erklärt werden. Dabei soll auch die Frage geklärt werden, wie und wann er sich gewisser Stilmittel dieser Epoche bedient und ob er, auch eigene surrealistische Mittel kreiert und verwendet hat. Die Filme „Eraserhead', „Blue Velvet', „Lost Highway' und „Inland Empire' dienen als passende Grundlange für eine Untersuchung von David Lynchs Stil, da sie zahlreiche surrealistische Stilmitteln aufweisen.
