At the latest since the burst of the dotcom-bubble website managers ask for precise tools in order to track and define website success and failure. In this book, the author will place website performance control into the surroundings of the overall business development of a company. A website model lays open the different parts of a website and places them into the context of its environment. The model shows critical points, issues and interfaces that need to be supervised and tracked in order to guarantee a positive website performance. Using the model a key figure framework for clustering basic success measures is derived. In the last step the author is going to define performance indicators for practical use in each of the framework’s categories. These KPIs will allow website management to define the performance of its website and benchmark against other websites. Therefore the lecture of this book is suited for all controllers, managers and business owners, who want to evaluate the success of their websites.
