Wars of Fire and Lightning

A thousand years ago, a prophetess spoke, and a kingdom died. Her words did not echo. They burrowed, took root in the bones of the world, and waited. Now, from a sleep that outlasted dynasties and devoured centuries, Shalaak rises, the last living witness to that ancient ruin. He awakens to a land reshaped by time’s relentless hand: civilizations risen like tides, then swallowed whole; prophets born, revered, and forgotten; and, in the wake of a cataclysm that split the heavens, a new force woven into the fabric of existence. They are called aurens, beings touched by the elements themselves, wielders of flame, storm, stone, and sea. Their power flows from enigmatic stones known only as tryonite, and now the world bleeds for them. What began as skirmishes over these relics has swelled into a war that spans continents. On one front stands Roxmar, an orphan sharpened into a soldier, conscripted beneath a king’s banner that offers duty but little mercy. At his side looms Bilzabar, a gentle soul trapped within a titan’s frame, his grief a quiet avalanche, his fury a storm barely contained. Together, they march through a war that devours not just bodies, but the very pieces of who they once were.Across the world, in halls of strategy and whispered ambition, Dylan ascends, a brilliant swordsman and scholar of war whose mind and blade earn him the favor of an emperor... and draws him ever closer to the heart of something rotten. With his wife, Sini, he begins to unravel a conspiracy that coils beneath the empire like a sleeping serpent, one that may crown him in glory... or grind him into dust. And between them all moves Shalaak. Ancient. Patient. Watching. As rulers gamble lives and armies burn the earth, he weaves himself into the emperor’s trust, each step guided by a purpose older than memory and darker than myth. For while the world fractures over power, Shalaak seeks something far greater. Not victory. Not dominion. But fulfillmenting a design set in motion a thousand years ago... when a prophetess spoke, and the world first began to die.
