National societies are thus obliged to study wars and realize that it is not enough to narrate and explain combats and battles, but it is also fundamental to study the military and strategic issues surrounding a war. Realizing the value of studying military strategies, this research paper examines the military strategies of Angola and South Africa in the context of the Southern African War from 1976 until 1988.
