Andererseits scheinen FDR-Biografen wie Schlesinger, Davis, Freidel und andere ansonsten akkurate Roosevelt-Kommentatoren es zu vermeiden, sehr tief in die dokumentierten Verbindungen zwischen New Yorker Bankiers und FDR einzutauchen. Wir beabsichtigen, die Fakten dieser Beziehung so darzustellen, wie sie in den Briefakten von FDR festgehalten sind. Diese Fakten sind nur insofern neu, als sie bisher nicht veröffentlicht wurden; sie sind in den Archiven für Forschungszwecke leicht zugänglich, und die Betrachtung dieser Informationen legt eine Neubewertung der Rolle von FDR in der Geschichte des 20.
