The book started off as personal journals that were kept by the author until it was formatted into an easy to read story. He added his own thoughts to the journal entries to give it a life of its own. Once the war section of the book was complete, the author added his own life story of his early years before joining the Marine Corps and even his time after returning from his tours in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. This book is much more than a war story. It’s a story of discovery, perseverance, faith, and the idea of never giving up and walking towards success.
