This book came about when Irealized that there was something missing in my life. What I was hearing and whatIwas experiencing in my life were two different experiences. Whenever I was told about God’s unconditional love I really didn’t understand what that meant. I was not feeling it. I was trying to understand it with spiritual eyes but the world got in the way. When you are trying to understand the world’s point of view you will always be lacking. I really didn’t start to read the bible until later on in my life. It wasn’t that I didn’t believe because I did, but that very fact made me wonder about the God that I was serving. I didn’t realize that God had me in his hands and that He understood my dilemma. God has always been there for me. The reason I did not read the bible was because I thought that I didn’t need to. I felt that I was a good person, I seem to love everyone (I was searching myself) and I didn’t want any harm to come to anyone. When I started to read the bible my eyes were open to the spiritual world. I still was unsatisfied because Icouldn’t figure out what my purpose was for my life. That was the first step, and then the questions started to come. Then I started searching the bible trying to put this piece of the puzzle together. The Bible is a puzzle. The Bible is not superficial it goes deep and if you stay on the surface you will not understand the wonders of his word. Then one day I started to write poems and blessings for my friends, out of the blue. I didn’t know I had that gift in me. My children write but I thought it came from somewhere else in the family. Then when Iwasn’t writing for friends I started just writing as the Lord led me. One day I ask God; who am I writing this for? No one is reading it but me. The Lord put on my heart to publish. I couldn’t believe I was going to write a book. I hope this book will answer questions and encourage anyone who is having a hard time in their spiritual walk with God. Turning your life over to God is the most peaceful journey you will ever have. I don’t mean you will be free from all the trials of the world, but you won’t have to go through it by yourself. In your walk you will know what it is to find peace where there is no peace.

‘There’s a touch of both Dickinson and Larkin in Jennifer Chrystie’s mature exhumation of the tales and tropes of family. The collection arcs from, at one extreme, the parsimonies of the household, to the transce...

    Edward V Bonner
The very title of Edward V. Bonner's first volume of poetry, One Kiss (Ingram, 2015), suggests some ways in which the poems inside balance the universal with the particular. Most of the poems examine the themes of beauty and risk, pleasure and danger, in the context of one of three kinds of relationships: to romantic partners, to the spiritual world, and to the world of nature....
