Le contexte de la criminalité féminine reste peu exploré et les données sont rares par rapport aux études consacrées à la population masculine. Il convient de prendre en compte les spécificités liées au genre lorsqu’il s’agit d’incarcération, ainsi que la particularité même du processus de développement historique des femmes dans le contexte social, afin de comprendre les circonstances ou les motivations des pratiques criminelles. Les femmes incarcérées sont invisibles et les politiques publiques existantes ne répondent pas aux besoins spécifiques de cette population. Afin de mieux comprendre la vulnérabilité criminelle des femmes, nous avons cherché à analyser leur caractère selon la psychologie de l’analyste austro-hongrois Wilhelm Reich , afin de comprendre les femmes dans leur contexte diversifié, en identifiant les étapes de leur développement évolutif, les relations familiales et affectives et les processus conscients et inconscients de la personnalité humaine, dans lesquels s’articulent les dimensions biologiques, psychologiques, sociologiques, politiques et éducatives.
