Steinschüttdämme werden meist aus gesprengtem Gesteinsmaterial, das durch Sprengen von Felsen gewonnen wird, oder aus alluvialem Gesteinsmaterial, das aus Flussbetten gesammelt wird, gebaut. In dieser Arbeit werden zwei modellierte Gesteinsmaterialien unter Verwendung einer mittleren dreiachsigen Zelle untersucht. Es wurden entwässerte dreiachsige Versuche mit verschiedenen Größen der modellierten Felsmaterialien durchgeführt, die in den beiden Dämmen verwendet wurden. Die Versuchsdaten wurden analysiert, der Bruchfaktor und die Scherfestigkeit des Felsmaterials untersucht und die Auswirkungen der Größe und des Umschließungsdrucks auf den Bruchfaktor und die Scherfestigkeit unter Verwendung einer mittleren dreiachsigen Zelle untersucht, da bereits viele Forscher Untersuchungen mit einer großen dreiachsigen Zelle durchgeführt haben.
