This story follows the drama of a young girl from a small town in Ohio who seeks to find color in her life through a trip to Rome, Italy. Arriving with two friends in the ancient city, she falls in love with the daily drama of life there. They plan to spend a year abroad before returning home to settle into their real lives. Her two friends leave after a year, but Charlotte is in love with Rome. Its colors, its history, its people and how they live each day is fascination to her. Life seems more exciting as she becomes part of the daily adventure. Experiences await her that she never could have imagined in her previous life. She came here as an innocent, inexperienced traveler, in Rome she becomes a part of its history.
