Vigilia del silencio, con la habitual mezcla de versos y párrafos de prosa rítmica, y deslizándose hacia la desnudez del poema, aspira a crear una realidad más poética del lado de las masas. La remembranza de las masacres en Gaza y Palestina o el homenaje a los grandes luchadores negros por los derechos civiles son algunos de los motivos de la obra. El lector viaja con la fuerza del silencio entre dos orillas y dos épocas y desciende al abismo de lo extranjero y desconocido, acogiéndolo con su lengua y su cultura, pues no en vano la divisa del autor es que la hospitalidad hacia el otro es la promesa del poema moderno en tiempos de una globalización arrogante.
