Sobre IBD

Vicent W. Querol i Campos (1837-1889) ha esdevingut un dels referents literaris més destacats del segle XIX. Entre els anys 1860 i 1870 va mantenir una activitat culturalconstant i, entre altres tasques, fou president de l'Ateneu Científic, Literari i Artístic de València, un fòrum d'idees obert al conjunt de la societat. Des d'aquesta plataforma cultural, Querol va projectar la seua ideologia política, literària i lingüística, i va expandir l'esperit de la Renaixença per les terres valencianes. Aquesta obra, que ha obtingut el Premi Joan Coromines d'Investigació Filològica, Històrica o Cultural (2016), convocat per la Societat Coral El Micalet amb la col·laboració de la Universitat de València, efectua una aproximació al moviment cultural de la Renaixença valenciana a través de l'anàlisi de l'activitat de l'Ateneu Científic, Literari i Artístic de València durant els anys 1870-1876.
