In dieser Studie wird die Verwendung von granulierter Gießereischlacke in keramischen Massen für die Rotkeramikindustrie bewertet, um durch die Wiederverwendung dieser Abfälle nicht nur einen Beitrag zur Umweltqualität zu leisten, sondern auch die Qualität der im Bundesstaat Piauí hergestellten Baukeramik zu verbessern. Die Ergebnisse zeigten, dass die Zugabe von granulierter Gießereischlacke zur keramischen Grundmasse durchaus machbar ist und in einigen Fällen eine Verbesserung der technologischen Eigenschaften und eine höhere Qualität der hergestellten Keramikstücke bewirkte, so dass dies eine Alternative für die Nutzung dieser Abfälle sein könnte, die gleichzeitig einen Beitrag zur Umweltqualität unseres Planeten leistet.
