Unter Auswertung der aktuellen Rechtsprechung auf nationaler und europäischer Ebene gibt dieses Buch einen umfassenden Überblick über die Wirksamkeit von Vertragsanpassungsklauseln und Zinsanpassungsklauseln. Dabei bietet es Lösungen an, wie unwirksame Vertragsanpassungsklauseln und Zinsanpassungsklauseln in Allgemeinen Geschäftsbedingungen ersetzt werden können. Neben der Ersetzung durch dispositives Gesetzesrecht und im Wege ergänzender Vertragsauslegung wird dabei die Anpassung von Verträgen bei Störung der Geschäftsgrundlage berücksichtigt. Zu den behandelten Verträgen gehören unter anderem Darlehensverträge beziehungsweise Kreditverträge wie insbesondere Prämiensparverträge, Zahlungsdiensterahmenverträge beziehungsweise Verträge über Girokonten und weitere verbraucherschutzrelevante Verträge wie beispielsweise Wohnraummietverträge.
