Diese Arbeit über die Fehleranalyse des Trompetengehäuses eines Traktors ist ein bescheidener Versuch, das Versagen eines Bauteils zu analysieren und somit eine Handlungslinie zu formulieren, um dieses Versagen zu vermeiden. Diese Arbeit beinhaltet den Einsatz der Finite-Elemente-Methode. Die Finite-Elemente-Methode ist eine numerische Analysetechnik zur annähernden Lösung einer Vielzahl von technischen Problemen. Die Spannungsverteilung des Trompetengehäuses wurde mit der Analysesoftware ANSYS 5.4 analysiert, woraus die maximale Spannung, die in der Komponente unter den gegebenen Lastbedingungen entsteht, berechnet wurde. Die Festigkeit des schwächeren Abschnitts wurde durch geeignete Konstruktionsänderungen verbessert.
