La historia que aquí desarrollo está basada en hechos reales. Los protagonistas y algunos personajes secundarios existen, o lo han hecho. Los sucesos, aunque los supongo magnificados por la memoria, me fueron relatados de forma intermitente por sus autores por lo que hube de añadir otras personas y lugares para dar continuidad a la historia. Los Desheredados eran capaces de embarcarse alegremente en todo tipo de aventuras estrafalarias, a veces, sin contribución etílica. Berlanga o J. L. Cuerda se hubieran mostrado felices de conocer unos tipos tan singulares y les hubieran sacado más partido que yo. He intentado retratar sus personas con toda la autenticidad con que los recuerdo.
