Vesta Finch never dreamed of working for NOVA Space Company. Yet, she finds herself in the background of NOVA Ames in Palo Alto, fixing up lattes and americanos as a barista for weary astronauts while also working as a therapist. And when Vesta makes a run for it for an afternoon therapy session, Vesta finds herself suddenly fired from her famed fun fact of a job, and at a loss of what to do next. Convinced to apply for a similar job at another space company by her roommates, Vesta finds herself sewing on her galaxy-themed dress and picking herself up by the joyful shade of her red lipstick. Enter Greyson Redding, astrophysicist and astronaut at disgraced space company, DAYS. Not only has he and his crew failed at their jobs at the consequence of their reputation, but he’s failed at his engagement. When a barista enters his life on multiple serendipitous meetings, Greyson finds his solution to please his family-and not mathematically. As Vesta is hired to be a receptionist for DAYS, she also finds herself suddenly proposed to be Greyson Redding’s fake girlfriend after a run in with his parents on a less than exceptional date setup by Vesta’s friends. Yet-will either be ready to face their feelings as Greyson’s launch date looms? Or will both be left heartbroken in the craters of love?
