Impression techniques in prosthodontics represent a fundamental aspect of restorative dentistry, serving as the critical foundation for successful prosthetic rehabilitation. These techniques encompass various methodologies designed to accurately capture and record the oral tissues’ morphology, ensuring optimal fit and function of the final prostheses. Impressions are required for fabricating indirect restorations and indirect prostheses. The choice of impression material depends on the type of prosthesis.
