Op de Joodse Begraafplaats Weißensee in Berlijn ligt het ongemarkeerde graf van de Nederlandse Selma Meyer. Dat haar gebeente vanaf het vroege oorlogsjaar 1941 zo ver weg van haar geboortestad en woonplaats Amsterdam rust, is het gevolg van haar activiteiten tegen het Derde Rijk en haar plaats op de Fahndungsliste van de Duitse Sicherheitsdienst. Omdat haar werk tegen nazi-Duitsland zich voor mei 1940 afspeelde, bovendien nog buiten de gevestigde politieke partijen en organisaties, is zij totaal vergeten. Onterecht, zoals Bart de Cort laat zien.Uit de voorliggende nieuwe druk blijkt dat Meyer in nog meer sociale bewegingen actief was dan tot nu toe bekend. Daarnaast bevat deze uitgave de volledige correspondentie van, aan en over Selma Meyer in de periode 1940-1941, die na het verschijnen van de eerste druk werd gevonden. 3
