Who are the individuals who can be considered Living Human Treasures in the commune of Abomey? And how can they be recognized and celebrated? This study revolves around these questions. The focus is on two men, Gabin Djimassè and Bachalou Nondichao, whose contributions to heritage preservation are truly remarkable. Often consulted for social science research, but never before brought into the spotlight, these men, who hold the status of Living Human Treasures within the Fon community, find a prominent place in the professional project presented in this work, front and center before cameras and microphones. And this is not a temporary, commercial showcase. Rather, it is a long-term initiative aimed at reintegrating into the collective consciousness of Benin the respect due to the elders who have dedicated their lives to safeguarding the intangible cultural heritage of their people.
