En este libro se presenta un estudio sistemático que permite estandarizar y validar un método analítico utilizado para cuantificar Na, K, Ca y Mg en suero sanguíneo humano, mediante la técnica de espectrometría de absorción atómica por flama. En este trabajo se consideraron herramientas estadísticas contempladas dentro de la metrología, como parámetros importantes de calidad, entre las que se incluyen: Exactitud, precisión, repetibilidad, linealidad, límite de detección, límite de cuantificación, así como la estimación de la incertidumbre. Estos parámetros analíticos se utilizaron para la estandarización del método, en tanto que la validación del mismo se realizó utilizando un material de referencia certificado. Por último, la funcionalidad del método se realizó en suero sanguíneo humano.Esta metodología puede ser utilizada por laboratorios de análisis clínicos y por laboratorios de investigación.
