في 27 آذار 1976 ، وبينما الحرب الأهلية محتدمة في لبنان، حصل لقاء لعلّه الأشهر في تاريخ الحرب. فقد جمعت جلسة مغلقة دامت لثماني ساعات متواصلة بين الرئيس السوري حافظ الأسد الذي كان قد تدخل بقواته في لبنان لدعم الأحزاب اليمينية ضد منظمة التحرير الفلسطينية، وبين كمال جنبلاط، قائد الحركة الوطنية المصطفة مع المنظمة. ظلّت حيثيات تلك الجلسة سرّية ولم يسرّب سوى القليل من عناوينها الريئسية طوال السنوات اللاحقة. في 16 آذار/مارس 1977، تمّ اغتيال الزعيم الدرزي على مقربةٍ من حاجز للجيش السوري المنضوي تحت قوات الردع العربية.في 30 أيلول/سبتمبر كرّس اتفاق الطائف نهاية الحرب الأهلية، وفي العام 1992 تمّت المصالحة الوطنية بين جميع الأطراف التي شاركت في الحرب من أحزاب وطوائف، وبدأت صفحة جديدة من العيش المشترك في لبنان.في 8 ديسمبر 2024 سقط النظام السوري.أما في العام 2025، فقد تم العثور على القاتل الذي صفّى كمال جنبلاط بإيعاز من النظام آنذاك. الآن وقد ثبتت التهمة، يبدو إصدار محضر هذه الجلسة، الذي لم يكن ليظهر لولا سقوط النظام واقتحام الإدارات وفضح الوثائق السرّية، في غاية الأهمية، لما يظهره من تنافرٍ وحديةٍ ظللتا تلك الجلسة المشحونة بين الرجلين.النص بالعامية، لأننا اخترنا نشره كما هو امتثالًا للمهنية والمصداقية، لكن الحديث واضح، والكلمات واضحة، والأوضح فيها ما لم يقال...On March 27, 1976, while the Lebanese Civil War was raging, one of the most pivotal meetings in the history of the war took place. A closed-door session lasting eight consecutive hours was held between Syrian President Hafez al-Assad, who had intervened in Lebanon with his military forces to support right-wing parties against the Palestine Liberation Organization, and Kamal Jumblatt, leader of the National Movement aligned with the PLO.The specifics of that session remained secret, and only a few main headlines were ever leaked over the years.On March 16, 1977, the Druze leader was assassinated near a Syrian army checkpoint, which was part of the Arab Deterrent Forces.On September 30, the Taif Agreement formally ended the civil war. In 1992, national reconciliation was achieved among all the political parties and sectarian groups involved in the conflict, ushering in a new era of coexistence in Lebanon.On December 8, 2024, the Syrian regime fell.In 2025, the assassin of Kamal Jumblatt, who acted under orders from the regime at the time, was found.Now that the charge has been confirmed, the publication of the minutes of this session, which would not have come to light if not for the regime’s collapse and the exposure of classified documents, is of great significance, for it reveals the deep tensions and stark antagonism that dominated that highly charged encounter between the two men.The text is in colloquial Arabic, as we chose to publish it as-is in adherence to professionalism and credibility.
